About the Project
Version 0.13.0
The Tasks Library is a collaborative effort by the NCCR Evolving Language to centralize and share experimental tasks — primarily in linguistics and the cognitive science of language — across research groups. This platform serves as a searchable catalog where researchers can discover, evaluate, and access experimental paradigms relevant to their studies.
What You'll Find
Browse tasks by name, cognitive domain, language, or technical requirements (e.g. Windows, fMRI). Each task entry includes detailed metadata about target populations, implementation details, and contact information. Tasks can be previewed directly in your browser or downloaded for local use in your research studies.
Current Status
The library is actively maintained by the TTF-DDG team with ongoing additions from research groups across the NCCR Evolving Language. Tasks span language and several adjacent domains including memory, attention, executive function, perception, and social cognition.
Task Integration
Tasks are integrated as self-contained web applications that can run directly in the browser. Each task maintains its own dependencies and configuration, ensuring reproducibility and ease of deployment.
Adding New Tasks
Researchers can contribute their tasks to the library through the Add My Task form. Tasks can be Python-based, Unity-based, or web-based applications.
